On December 10, much of the world celebrates Human Rights Day. The United Nations established Human Rights Day in 1948 when U.N. General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).  2018 marks the 70th anniversary of celebrating Human Rights Day. Perhaps you didn’t know that September 21 is the International Day of Peace. It was designated as such by the United Nations in 1981. This year’s theme is “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.” In 2015, the UN unanimously adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
